The Holiday Season is in full swing here at Lowell Culinary Collaborative!
We are filling holiday orders galore, sharing new, seasonal recipes and goods, and looking forward to some upcoming classes later this Winter. As the pandemic continues to effect worldwide supply chains and small businesses, our commitment to local farmer and small-scale producers is stronger than ever. You'll see more domestic cheeses and wines in the shop this season. There are some great people with great stories behind these products, and we love to share those stories with you!
As we move into 2022, we will be featuring many of these businesses and introducing more virtual tastings and more opportunities to learn the stories behind the products we love. When you know the people who make your food and understand how hard they work, the things on your table mean more to you.
We're continuing to add winter classes, including lots of new wine education and some hands-on experiences. Have a question about your favorite wines and cheeses? Don't quite know where to start? Please send us your questions so we can develop new classes catered to your interests. From our Wine Wednesdays to a class all about creating your own Sourdough starter, we have something for every food lover out there and are always looking for new ideas. Check out our current schedule of classes, both in-person and virtual, here. We hope to see you soon!
If you are looking for a last minute gift or a housewarming gift for your friends and family to enjoy, check out some of our Cheese Lovers’ gift boxes. We also have to-go class boxes perfect to share with friends and family who you may not be able to see during the holidays. Plan your own virtual tasting party with long-distance loved ones for a fun night full of yummy treats. All you have to do is open the box, set up your tasting, and follow along to the virtual class at your own pace! These classes are led by our Certified Cheese Professional and Collaborative co-owner Beth Falk and, in addition to learning all about the featured eats, she will share stories about the cheesemakers, the art of pairing, and more.
For those with sweet-tooths, Sweet Lydia’s is serving up a multitude of delicious, seasonal flavors. From eggnog marshmallows to holiday cookies, there are confections sure to get you in the holiday spirit!
